STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Tomorrow is a busy day as several student clubs & activities are getting started:

7:30 AM - Student Council interest meeting in room 2041. See Ms. Larossa, Ms. Pendergast, or Ms. Corcoran with any questions.
2:30 PM - Garden Club meets in room 1058. See Ms. Clark or Sra. McKinnies with any questions.
2:30 PM - South Dance Team info meeting in room 2044. See Ms. Cottam, Ms. Chiles, or Ms. Littlewood with any questions.

Concert Choir auditions started today in room 1086. See Ms. Ouellette to sign up for an audition. Concert Choir is an afterschool singing group that performs at various events throughout the year for select students in grades 5-8. It is open to students who take Band, Orchestra, or Guitar in school, as well as those in Chorus. Rehearsals will start after school on 9/29 for students who audition and are accepted.

Three-fer Thursday from South! 5/22/2025

Three from South: (1.) Tomorrow--Friday, 5/23--South will host our annual Memorial Day Assembly starting at 1:00 PM. 8th graders have been working hard to prepare their Veterans Projects and a group will present them while our entire school honors local veterans and the fallen heroes of our Armed Services. Students are encouraged to wear red, white & blue to show your patriotic spirit for our veterans and honored guests. There will be no student dismissals after 1pm , as it is too disruptive to the memorial assembly. This year's assembly will be held in the large Gym due to the nor'easter, but guests are still welcome! If you would like to attend the assembly, please enter through the Main Entrance to get a visitors sticker and then proceed down to the Gym. Mark your calendars! Trivia Night Woof - 4/28

(1.) 7th grade Earth models adorn our hallways year-round! (2.) We're looking forward to the return of Trivia Night at South this evening! For those who have signed up, please arrive at 6:00pm. Trivia Night is expected to be over at 8:15pm (a slight adjustment from the previously-mentioned 8:45) for anyone carpooling. Wear costumes and bring your vast knowledge! (3.) With the holiday shopping season upon, there are some easy ways to benefit the school without much additional hassle! Box Tops for Education Purchasing a lot of groceries for the upcoming feast? Scan your receipts to see if any qualify for Box Tops! The Box Tops program no longer requires you to clip and collect the actual, paper box tops. Instead, you can download the app on your cellphone and scan your receipt after any grocery shopping trip.
