Warm Weather Wednesday Woof - South Cinco!

Spring is in the air! It's nice to see everyone's warm weather spirit this week as we knock down the first round of MCAS testing.  (1.) With the return of sunshine and warm afternoons, it never hurts to remind middle schoolers of the rules.  Our Braintree Middle Schools' Dress Code is attached in PDF format and is also pasted at the bottom of this message . The schools respect the right of every family to make primary decisions about your child's attire, but we do need to maintain standards of safety, hygiene, respect, and a positive school atmosphere. We appreciate your support at home! (2.)  Report cards will be sent home on Friday, 4/14.   Please sign and return one copy to homeroom teachers after the April Break.  Contact your child's Guidance Counselor with any questions or concerns. South Cinco - short week, MCAS, and gratitude!

(1.) The South PTO's next meeting will be held on Thursday, 4/13, at 6:00 PM in the Media Center. Agenda to follow. (2.) Tomorrow, we will begin MCAS testing for 6th graders, with 7th and 8th grade testing next week.  Please make sure chromebooks are fully charged overnight. If you have a school-issued loaner, that will be your testing device. If you bring a personal device, you will receive a daily loaner chromebook in homeroom to test on. Students will be asked to put cell phones, smartwatches, ebooks, etc. at the front of the classroom during testing. Even better, leave them at home or in lockers, please! You may send your child with a few mints or hard candies to help keep them motivated and  lightly  energized throughout testing, but  please  don't send them with a 5-pound bag! Please make sure they have a free reading book as well, for when they have completed testing daily. Students in other grades will be expected to help maintain a quiet environment while their schoolm
