Monday Woof

Tonight is the ArtFest reception to appreciate the creative talents of students in all Braintree. Below, please find the list of featured South artists. We hope to see you all there! Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 25th to hear a presentation entitled “ VAPING 411”. It will be held at East Middle school in the auditorium and will start at 6:30 pm. For more information please see the  Vaping 411.pdf  flier.  All middle school adult caregivers who attend will be given a homework pass to give to their child(ren).  The homework pass can be used by your student(s). Please remind your student that the teacher has full discretion as to what the “homework” pass can be used for and it can only be used once.  This presentation is for adults only. Your student does NOT need to attend to receive the homework pass.  We are looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday, May 25th! Friday Woof - 4/1

Ramadan Kareem  to all our Muslim Bulldogs, for whom the Holy Month of Ramadan begins this weekend! While students are fasting, they have the option to sit in our Media Center during lunch instead of the cafeteria. If a student plans to pray or engage in other observances,  please let us know  and we can make a more private, office space available as needed. (I found the  qibla  from my office the other day!) MCAS testing starts next week. This is typically when the principal is contractually required to tell everyone to get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast--but, we all do that  every  day, right??--however, I just want to stress that everyone should make sure their devices are fully charged every night. There will be limited loaners available throughout the testing window, so this is the ideal time to build a good habit of plugging in your chromebook/laptop before bed!  We hope to see everyone at tonight's Incredible Inclusion Wal...

South notes - Tues 3/29

Last week, several of Ms. Barrett's 8th grade Math classes built "sculptures" out of specific objects and then students calculated the volume of their sculpture. They brought in "found objects" to compose their sculptures: spheres, cylinders, rectangular prisms, cubes, and cone-shaped items--which were the hardest to find! The creativity in these creations made for some  tricky  calculations! This Friday  at 5:00pm , join us at the Braintree High School track for the first annual  Incredible Inclusion Walk !  Show your support for Including Everyone and spend some quality time with your friends and friends-to-be!  BHS Student Council created "Be Inclusive" t-shirts for purchase, and all proceeds will benefit the BHS special education programs. Contact  Mr. Patrick Hubbard  for more information. Shout out to the 6th Grade Girls' Braintree Youth Basketball team, who  also  went 17-0 on their season. Way to go!  If you're involved with...
