SOUTH PTO
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us this week for Joani Geltman’s presentation: Adolescent Psychology for Parents,
sponsored by your South PTO! It was an
informative night full of useful tips for raising healthy, safe kids. Check the South
PTO Facebook page for follow-up information. Below is one slide where Joani identified the
“4 fights” you’re likely to get into with your teen, and gave strategies for
handling each one… Make sure to ask someone who was there! The
February PTO meeting will be held next Tuesday, 2/12 and we hope everyone
can join us!
TERM 2 REPORT CARDS
Term 2 report cards went home on 2/5. Please sign & return one copy to your
child’s homeroom teacher by Monday, 2/11. If you have a question about your child’s
grades, you should contact the teacher directly or reach out to the Guidance
Counselor. Report cards can be reprinted
in the Main Office if “the dog ate it”! Please
note: Attendance totals were misreported on the printed report
cards, but they are correct in Aspen. The calculation formula has been
corrected and will print correctly on Term 3 report cards, but if you need a
corrected printout for any reason, please contact the Main Office. If you have a question about your child’s
attendance, please contact their Guidance Counselor.
AMBASSADORS CLUB

Massachusetts Project 351 initiative, is organizing a clothing drive to support
needy families through Cradles to Crayons.
Your clean, gently used clothing or new donations can be delivered to
the South lobby through April 20th.

inspiration to families in need. Anyone

SOUTH BULLDOGS
Congratulations to South Boys and Girls Basketball teams,
who wrapped up their seasons this week.
The Jamboree versus East was a fun event with a split decision: East
boys and South girls won their respective games. The sportsmanship on display was a testament
to “one Braintree” and welcome news for the high school coaches in the stands
to scout the rising talent! Congratulations
also to all the students who auditioned to be South’s Bulldog mascot, and to
the talented performers elected by their peers: Gavin Santana, Jami Daly, and
Traevon Jones. Go Bulldogs!
