Unity Day was a hit at South Middle School today! It was so great to see so many folks sporting their orange colors to stand up against bullying! School spirit is high this year, and we love to see it!
(1.) On Friday is O.F.M. This is the major fundraiser for enrichment activities at South, so we're hoping every student will contribute something! You can still sign up on SnapRaise to send messages out to friends and family to raise donations. You can also bring in cash or check donations to your homeroom teacher. Checks should be payable to "South Middle School PTO" and any amount helps!
(2.) O.F.M. is a fun-filled event for students! Remember to dress in your class color to show your Bulldog Pride!
5th grade - Pink
6th grade - Green
7th grade - Blue
8th grade - Red
There will be carnival games, yard games & gaga ball, a walkathon, and more! It's a great way to end the week and a fun opportunity to hang out with friends as we move into the next part of the school year!(3.) Calling all student artists! Submit your creative yearbook cover design by November 22nd and make your artwork a permanent memory at South!
(4.) Order your Yearbook today! Go to Jostens.com and search for South Middle School in Massachusetts (this link should bring you right to our page). Early Bird Price is $30 until 12/22/2023.(5.) South's School Store will be open for limited times in the coming weeks! The school store is in room 1040, in the 8th grade wing, and is run by students in Ms. Benton's and Mr. Galluzzo's classrooms. While the sales-students learn the routine over the next few weeks, the school store will be open by invitation only during study halls on various days. (In time, we plan to have expanded hours, and we appreciate your patience!) Students will be able to use small bills or change to make purchases--all items are 25 cents--and in the coming weeks they'll be able to earn Bulldog Bucks through acts of kindness & inclusion, which they can use to make purchases. For now, we encourage you to throw some coins into your backpack in case your study gets invited to the store (5th graders will get their chance, too!).
