South Cinco - 2/13

Just a few days left until February Break, but they're going to be busy ones at South!

(1.) South PTO is holding a flash fundraiser to purchase South Spirit Wear Player Packs: use the attached order form to order your South hoodie, South t-shirt, and athletic shorts bundle!  All order forms are due by Friday, so don't delay!  Email southmiddle.pto@gmail.com with any questions.
(2.) This Thursday, 2/16, all South students will be treated to a high-energy variety show, Hip Hop Promotes Positivity, thanks to a generous grant from the Braintree Arts Lottery Council (BALC), a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC). BALC and MCC endorse science and the arts in school, and have long supported the efforts of South and all local schools to fund innovative programming like this fun, interactive concert, and we a grateful for their continued generosity!
(3.) 8th grade students are starting to prepare for their transition to high school. Guidance counselors will meet with students later this week to discuss what to expect from high school and to answer any questions they might have. Then, on Friday, the Braintree High Director of Guidance will hold a brief assembly to provide an overview of the BHS program of studies. 8th graders: think of any questions you might have about any aspect of high school life, and bring them to homeroom tomorrow so we can prepare the answers for your Frequently Asked Questions!

(4.) FINAL DEADLINE to order this year's Yearbook is March 1st! Don't put it off any longer, as you only have a few weeks left to order this year's Yearbook. There is no guarantee that extra copies will be available to purchase in June, so order your copy now! Jostens.com

(5.) Shout out to the South Student Council for organizing Friday's Neon Glow Dances, and special thanks to the South PTO for all your support in making the night a success! Everyone in attendance looked great and had a great time dancing the night away with friends!
