Three from South - 11/5/2025

(1.) END OF TERM 1

Term 1 ends tomorrow (Thursday, 11/6) and the 2nd term begins on Friday. For the most part, there will be no changes in students' schedules with the change of term, but they only have a few days to make up missing work before grades in Aspen become final term averages on their report card, so make sure everything is where you expect it to be! Teachers offer after school help one day each week, so make sure to make an appointment with any teachers if you need to make up a missing assignment!

November's Dine Out will be Thursday November 20th, the early dismissal day, at the Chateau in Braintree. Dine in or order take-away and make sure to mark your order for the South fundraiser!

(3.) BRAINTREE POLICE DODGEBALL - FRIDAY 11/7 3-5PM @ EAST MS

Don't forget the Curry College Cheer and Dance event this Saturday and the BHS Basketball 3v3 Tournament on 11/11. Lots to do with that extra hour from Daylight Savings Time!

Three-fer Thursday from South! 5/22/2025

Three from South: (1.) Tomorrow--Friday, 5/23--South will host our annual Memorial Day Assembly starting at 1:00 PM. 8th graders have been working hard to prepare their Veterans Projects and a group will present them while our entire school honors local veterans and the fallen heroes of our Armed Services. Students are encouraged to wear red, white & blue to show your patriotic spirit for our veterans and honored guests. There will be no student dismissals after 1pm , as it is too disruptive to the memorial assembly. This year's assembly will be held in the large Gym due to the nor'easter, but guests are still welcome! If you would like to attend the assembly, please enter through the Main Entrance to get a visitors sticker and then proceed down to the Gym. Mark your calendars! Trivia Night Woof - 4/28

(1.) 7th grade Earth models adorn our hallways year-round! (2.) We're looking forward to the return of Trivia Night at South this evening! For those who have signed up, please arrive at 6:00pm. Trivia Night is expected to be over at 8:15pm (a slight adjustment from the previously-mentioned 8:45) for anyone carpooling. Wear costumes and bring your vast knowledge! (3.) With the holiday shopping season upon, there are some easy ways to benefit the school without much additional hassle! Box Tops for Education Purchasing a lot of groceries for the upcoming feast? Scan your receipts to see if any qualify for Box Tops! The Box Tops program no longer requires you to clip and collect the actual, paper box tops. Instead, you can download the app on your cellphone and scan your receipt after any grocery shopping trip. I've also found it's worth scanning my receipt after a trip to most pharmacies and "big box" department stores, just in case!
