Three-fer Thursday from South

(1.) Today's Think Pink Day at South was an  amazing  display of support and awareness for breast cancer patients & research! Thank you for standing up with the BHS BSU in their call to action! (2.) Tomorrow is October Festival of Motion at South! Last minute donations will be accepted in homeroom tomorrow, online tonight, or on the South PTO Venmo (@southmiddlepto). This is our biggest schoolwide fundraiser, so we're hoping all students will contribute - $20 or as much as they can. Wear your grade's colors to show your South spirit!  Grade 5 - YELLOW Grade 6 - GREEN Grade 7 - BLUE Grade 8 - RED (3.)  Please refrain from visiting the South campus between 10 AM - 2 PM if at all possible. If you do have to drop something off at school tomorrow, please park up by the old South building and walk down to the Main Entrance. Cars will not be permitted in the upper driveway loop until after 2:15.

South Cinco - Wed Oct 23

(1.)  Tomorrow is Think Pink Day at South Middle School!  Every South Bulldog should wear pink to raise awareness about breast cancer and to show support for folks battling breast cancer and their loved ones supporting them.  The Braintree High School Black Students Union is organizing Think Pink Day (At BHS, it's on Friday, but South had to go one day early because of Friday's Color Wars for OFM!) and donations will be sent to their charity of choice. No donations required, but  we'd love to every student wearing pink on Thursday to show support for everyone confronting breast cancer!  (2.) Speaking of O.F.M., it's planned for this Friday. What do you need to know? Carnival rides and a walkathon are on order for the day to celebrate everyone's efforts to fundraise for enrichment activities like afterschool clubs, field trips, assemblies, and classroom extras.  Over the last few years, we've raised over $20,000 on average, which has allowed us to keep costs down

Two-fer Tuesday

(1.) Today's Boys Soccer match against Thayer has been postponed & there will be no soccer practice. (2.) Tomorrow is Unity Day! Wear Orange to stand up against bullying!  Looking for last-minute orange gear?? South’s school store is selling Unity Day accessories for $1.00 each on Wednesday morning during study halls.

Bulldog Bulletin - week of 10/14

School will reopen tomorrow, 10/15, after the long weekend, and it will be a Day 5. Today, South PTO is hosting a Dine Out event at Bertucci's on Franklin St. Dine in or take out & support South! Wednesday is Unity Day, an annual tradition at South. All members of the community are encouraged to wear orange & commit to stand up against bullying. Parent-Teacher Conferences begin this week. Teachers or teams have posted sign-up opportunities.  If you do not have concerns about a class, please do not feel obligated to sign up with every teacher.  You can always email the teacher to open the line of communication if  they  have information for you.  Your child's academics are visible online through the Aspen grading portal, but conferences are a good time to find out if there's more to the story. What's holding your child's grades back? Study skills, homework, a need to stay after for quick re-teaching? What are they doing really well? What should you be doing
