South Cinco - Monday, 12/19

(1.) South's Student Council is hosting Spirit Week all week. Today's Long Winter's Nap had outstanding participation from all grades! We can't wait to see the creative outfits as the week goes on.

(2.) Homework Club will not meet on Wednesday or Thursday this week. Students can stay after with a teacher, and there will be a Late Bus.

(3.) Friday was the Midterm for Term 2. Teachers will be getting grades up to date this week, so students need to speak to their teacher directly about any missing work, or to ask about retakes or makeups. If you redo an assignment or hand in an assignment after the Due Date, you must tell/email your teacher to let them know! Teachers will not randomly check to see if anyone turned in late work to be graded.

(4.) Our Choral Concerts are being held tonight and tomorrow. A few reminders:
  • Doors open at 6:30pm and the concerts start at 7:00.
  • We always fill the Auditorium, so show up early if you want to choose your seats. Please fill in to the center of rows to use every seat.
  • Do not come and go during the performances. If you need to step out, you should wait to do so between songs.
  • Children are welcome at concerts but must be with an adult. Students who are not performing cannot attend without an adult. This is not a chaperoned event.
  • If the crowd extends into the lobby, please do not speak during the performances. Acoustics are great, and conversations carry straight into the Auditorium.
  • Please use our parking lot and reserve the upper driveway for caregivers with limited mobility. Extra parking is available across Liberty St at St. Clare's. Please do not block our neighbors' driveways on Peach St. or park on both sides and limit traffic flow. Please do not park in the fire lane along the front of our building.
(5.) Yearbooks are on sale now for $30. The price will increase after Friday, 12/23, so order your copy this week! Every year, we have people asking to order copies in June, but we purchase very few extra copies and when they sell out, that's it. If you want the yearbook, order it now to reserve your copy and get the best price!

Bulldog Bulletin - 6/3/2025

Congratulations to all the students that participated in the Trills and Thrills music festival this past Friday - your hard work and effort paid off! Your playing and love for music impressed one of the adjudicators so much that he wrote an email to our superintendent letting him know how much he appreciated South Middle School’s music program!  7th & 8th grade orchestra won gold and the 7th & 8th grade Band and Concert Choir both earned silver.  This Thursday, 6/5, is the last day for Late Bus this school year. Students can still stay after for extra help, but you’ll need to arrange for a ride home or plan to walk! Homework Lab also ends this Thursday, so if you plan to stay after, you’ll need to make plans with one of your teachers. Don't forget! Bus registration ends next Friday, 6/13.  See the Districtwide post for bus registration information. Please check the Yearbook Sales list posted at your homeroom entrance.  If anyone thinks they purchased a y...
